My Top 10 Places in the World. Part Two

So onto Part Two of My Top 10 Places In the World

6. Port Douglas - Australia

Best holiday location in Australia

Port Douglas in Far North Queensland, Australia, 40 miles north of Cairns. The peak tourism season is in May–September, which is actually winter here in Australia, or the dry season.

Tropical North Queensland rains almost every day from October to April, but the weather in the dry season is perfect. Like summer in Florida.

The wet season is too dangerous for swimming in the sea due to the highly dangerous box-jelly fish, that will sting you very badly.

Beware of crocodiles on the beach. You should have seen me running across hot sand, when I saw the warning signs.

7. Puerto Banus- Spain

Puerto Banús is a marina located to the southwest of Marbella, Spain on the

It's a place where the rich and famous from the Costa del Sol. hang out.

A lot of British ex-pats live here. many who allegedly made their money through dubious means.

Not un-common to see an obviously British middle-aged man complete with barbie-doll wife, oily tan, gold jewellery and gold teeth driving though the marina area in an open top Bentley.

Puerto Banús has three expensive shopping malls, lots of restaurants and bars, who will be happy to take 20 euros off you for a Jack Daniels.

8. Mooloolaba Australia

Queensland again

Mooloolaba is a tourist resort on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. 60 miles north of Brisbane,

The esplanade facing Mooloolaba beach is a centre for tourist activity, containing the UnderWater World marine park, as well as many souvenir and clothing shops, bookshops, galleries and restaurants.

Behind the apartments facing the beach are camping grounds, backpacker hostels and canal villas.

Some beautiful homes, that back onto the inland canals, where residents can water ski.

Fantastic climate, this would be a great place to live.

9. Bruges- Belgium

Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is located in the northwest of the country.

Well-known in Europe as "The Venice of the North", because of the number of canals and it''s medieval vibe.

Very easy to get to from the UK, quick early morning ferry from Dover to Calais, and no more that a two-hour drive heading north-east.

Be there in time for a typical local lunch of mussels and chips with mayonnaise.

Lots to see here in Bruges, including the famous clocktower and the hospital museum.

The horse-drawn tour of the city is well worth it, and just follow your nose to visit, the numerous shops selling waffles and chocolate.

Bruges is especially good for the beer connoisseur, and there is a tour of the city's beer museum. You can go to many bars with literally hundreds of fine beers on tap.

10. Hua Hin Thailand

We spent 10 days there at the 5 Star Hilton resort in October 2014. Hua Hin, is located about 2-3 hours south of Bangkok, and is one of their best kept secrets.

It's where the King and Queen of Thailand live, so it must be special. Hua Hin truly is a beautiful holiday location, great restaurants, night markets, shopping, and the atmospheric bars and nightclubs, that Thailand is famous for. Bangkok is good for a couple of days, but then you need to chill out in in a resort location, and Hua Hin, is several notches above places like Phuket and Koi Somui.

So there you have it, my top 10 places to see in the world.

Yes I left off Paris, Los Angeles and Edinburgh and York, but you can't fit everything in.

There are many other places that I haven't got near to yet, Chicago, San Francisco, Vienna, Dublin, Vancouver, Cape town, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Moscow, Budapest, Barcelona, that will remain on my wish list, but not for too long.

I'm sure you all have your own favourites, so you may not all agree with me here, but that's okay.

What does count is that if money and time was no object, where in the world would you go?

What if you could wake up tomorrow and without a second thought, take off to any destination in the world, flying first class as well?

Where would you go?

What would be on your list of Top 10 places in the world.

If you dare to dream, think about it, and then just go for it.
